For the past few years, our members have had the opportunity to enter into tournaments held over 3-4 days at Caloundra and interstate in Coffs Harbour (Club Champs Tournaments).  Basketball QLD also held their first Club Championships Tournament in 2022, which our club participated in.

We welcome opportunities for members to broaden their basketball experience.

7. What do we encourage from our Parents/Guardians?

Firstly, we encourage all our players to attend training and games on a regular basis.  If your child cannot make any games or trainings throughout the season, please let your team manager or coach know.

We also encourage involvement from our parents/guardians to help support their kids playing basketball.  All our parents/guardians will take turns being scheduled for score bench duty a few times throughout the season.  Please click on the guides below to familiarise yourself with the game clock and online scoring system.  Further help will be made available to you if required - so please don't hesitate to ask.

Volunteers are the backbone of our Club and we promote active participation from all our members to help grow and strengthen our club.

Please note if a Parent nominates to be a NON-Participating parent during the registration process, they will automatically Opt-Out of scorebench duty, which means an additional fee of $80 is payable per season, however, the parent will not be scheduled to help with scoring duties.

8. What does our Committee do?

Our committee consists of parent volunteers that are voted in by our members during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held annually.

The committee is responsible for the administration of the Club to ensure it runs smoothly so our members get enjoyment from being a part of our basketball club and our young players continually grow their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Please remember, in addition to our committee, coaching staff and managers all being volunteers, we also have our own families, work and other commitments that utilise our time.  So please remember to exercise patience when dealing with our club volunteers.

9. My child is NEW to basketball, but is NOT READY to play for a club yet, what is available?

We would recommend the Force Future Stars Program, Ipswich Basketball's introductory program providing a fun and inclusive Basketball experience for 4-9 year olds.

This program is available through Ipswich Basketball and usually runs during the school terms for a 1 hour session per week on a Saturday morning.  For more information on this program, please click here.

10. What's the best way to contact the club if I have any more questions?
